The Jury wrote that Silkworm cleverly used mobile phones as a metaphor for class reversal, while challenging human issues and having a vivid depiction of growth. 

The Kaohsiung Film Festival is held annually in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. Established in 2001, the festival screens both locally produced and international films, in all genres and lengths.
